Can of air, and if that doesn't work.

Q-tip and alcohol.

The alcohol won't hurt anything as long as you don't douse the controller in it.

Rubbing alcohol on q-tip.

Air duster or a shop compresser with a small nozzle air chuck. Unless its drink/food grime.

As someone else said, you could try a can of air and if it's something physical it may blow out. If it's some type of corrosion I usually take a can of Deoxit D5, spray a little on a q-tip and wiggle it around some. Also plugging and unplugging a plug of any kind in there after the D5 can help as well.

Get a piece of tape & roll it inside itself small enough to fit in there. Get the dust out, then use a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. Better yet, get some contact point cleaner for electronics & spray that in there. Let it evaporate & voila.. it's clean.

First compressed air. Then q-tip with alcohol on your plug stick it in get it out repeat couple times. Again compressed air and ready.

Make a small roll of sticky tape with the sticky on the outside, then gently shove it up there.

How in the world did you fit a flashlight in the headphone jack??

Use a q-tip but remove some of the cotton from the tip. There should only be a little on it and this way it'll fit in port. Just turn gentle. Clean.

Replacing the port isn't difficult, I did that to the two controllers my boys have when they also stopped working with headsets.

I've had to do this 3 times on my son's controllers. Luckily they're cheap on Amazon and take minutes to replace but you'd think they'd be a little more durable than that.

I was told by another user that it's due to how the kids hold the controller. They tend to bend the headphone jack while it's plugged in and puts pressure on the jack inside the controller.

Vacuum, or a unfolded paper clip but be careful.

Don't ever vacuum electronics. More so with consoles/PCs than with accessories, but static electricity build up from vacuuming can fuck things up.
